Although there are sometimes negative articles about Eon, if you prepare a payment plan on a contractual basis, there is a real affordable price range, even if you read a lot of comments about it, sometimes there may be negativities.

Like so many, very poor experience with EON. I live abroad and CAN NOT pay bill with a foreign credit card!! (VISA or MC). Nightmare to log into their customer portal with stubborn staff on the phone who I was to blame for using Google Chrome when I know it was an issue at their end. They also way over estimate usage (x3!) if u don't provide readings. Not impressed.

Moved into my flat on the 9th of December have been calling e.on almost everyday they did not reply over the weekend on the emergency number so finally on the following Monday I’m told I need to go to a shop to get an electric key however no shops in my area have any in store, finally the next day after waiting another hour to speak to someone they said they would send out an emergency Electrian within 3 hours nobody came and at this point it was 9pm I tried the emergency number again but no answer, finally the day after I call again and I get told that no Electrian was sent and my request was actually denied because apparently there are shops in my area with keys but when I asked for the names as I had been to every single one I got hung up on. So for the last almost two weeks I’ve spent all my phone battery calling these people in the cold and dark and revived absolutely no help at all and still no key has been sent to the apartment. I’m working all through Christmas and new years and im going to have to spend it in the freezing cold and dark. Never been so shocked about the lack of compassion some people can have. Also bare in mind I have not had any hot water either so I’ve been having to take cold showers in a cold room, I’m just grateful that it is just me I’d hate to imagine how much worse it would be if I had a child or anything like that I don’t even think they’d be able to survive when it’s -7° at night, I’ve been able to see my breath every time I speak.

Fell for the con trick of purchasing a battery system £8,022.00p nearly 5 months later and a load of calls...and we finally get told nope we can't do it for you sorry m8...but shouldn't you have sorted the inverter issue on the survey...isn't that what a survey is for to find out if there's any issues before you waste my time ...total shambles of another big money grabbing company

Avoid. Probably the worst utility provider you will ever have the misfortune to deal with. Energy sector customer service is universally bad but this showed of s**t are the worst by far. Go elsewhere for your energy.

Thieves. Worst company ive ever dealt with in my life. You call them with a problem they act like they're cooperating then hang up on your face. Happened to me 4 times now.

Edit; 7 months and didn't get a smart meter, first they thought I had one even though they were asking for manual readings every few months. Then they said they would wait till a govement scheme came in that allowed sharing of smart meter data... If price comparison sites show them as cheapest then sure BUT when you leave then they call multiple times for 2 seconds then hang up from a number you cant call back. Calls were about trying to make me stay but they had no interest about talking about price haha.
